Troubling Incident at School Today

Students, teachers and family members are understandably worried about the troubling event that happened this afternoon at school. I understand that students and their caregivers are deeply concerned. Please be assured that your children's safety is at the forefront of my mind.

I want everyone in our school community to know that leaders at the district level and I are taking this incident very seriously. We will continue working with internal and external agencies to ensure our school is the safe place we have worked so hard to create and maintain.
