As we start the second week of our community's evacuation order, teachers and I have heard from parents that many children are keen to start working on their studies.
While many of our students do not have access to a laptop or tablet, nearly all have access to mobile devices such as phones. We have sent instructions for some students to log into IXL, which we use to supplement our Math and English classes.
We will continue to send instructions to parents by email, but we understand that not everyone uses this method of communication. However, all students registered at Anahim Lake Elementary Junior-Secondary School are assigned a school email account. We are now working to ensure all students from grades 4-10 know how to log into their school email accounts. Parents and students will receive information on further steps.
